Tips to Stay Safe in Cold Weather

The cold has made its way to the Pacific Northwest in time for the New Year. Remember that fire safety is just as important now as ever! According to the National Fire Prevention Association, home fires are actually more common in winter than in any other season. Below are some tips to remember during cold weather:

  • Keep objects at LEAST 3 feet from any heat source
  • Double check cords for exposed wiring
  • Use generators outdoors and away from your doors and windows.
